Advanced tactics

Once you master the basics of LSN you will find that the better players use dirty tricks to beat you. I have started to list these advanced tactics to help you get even J

The tactical world of LSN is complex as is real combat and it’s constantly evolving in new directions. It’s a bit like fashion – if you want to bee a trendsetter don’t look in the fashion magazines to see what to wear but to find out what the rest will be wearing ;)

Given this analogy what used to be ‘old’ and bad tactics might become ‘good’ tactics once everyone stops using those specific ideas. This is very much true when it comes to the balance issues. And very much so specifically on balance between races.

Let’s say Marine players face Spawn this week and get beaten up badly (as indicated by the stats on games played). The Marine players start deploying Machina and beat the Spawn players, who next game deploy Marines to beat the Machina players. I’m not saying it’s that simple, but given some sort of cycle it’s not hard to see how to beat the others picking the right race.

The forums section on Strategy and Tactics is a ‘the’ place to catch up on new developments and ideas, but my advice is to read some of the tactical guides out there. Start at the LSN Guide and read as much of Crank’s Grenadiers Bible as you feel like – it’s a work of art!

One thing to remember when reading tactics is to take into account the different versions of LSN. Some tactics might have been written during an older version of LSN and have not yet been updated to the change in stats and game play. Don’t use others ideas without questioning their raison d´être.
